The leader of the resistance group in the Afghan Pandjir Valley, Massoud, has called for a national uprising against the Taliban. An audio message from him was published on the Internet. The Taliban announced earlier this morning that they had conquered the Punjir Valley - and with it the last Afghan province.
Massoud said in his video message that people should fight in every possible form. It's about home, honor, freedom and pride, said the militia chief.
It is unclear whether the Taliban actually took control of the Punjir province. Massud's National Resistance Front (NRF) contradicted this representation. The movement wrote on Twitter that it was still present in strategically important positions in Punjir and that the fight was going on. However, in photos and videos that were shared on social networks, Taliban fighters posed heavily armed in front of the governor's headquarters in Basarak.
Pandjir was the only province in Afghanistan that the Taliban had not brought under their control during their conquest in August. Opponents of the Taliban gathered around Massoud and the former Afghan Vice President Saleh, who had declared himself the rightful head of state after President Ghani had fled. Massud is the son of the legendary deceased Northern Alliance leader Akhmed Shah Massud, who organized the resistance against the Taliban in the 1990s. More on this .
If you look at the Pandjir Valley from a satellite perspective, you will quickly see why many potential conquerors have failed there so far: From the capital Kabul it is about 100 kilometers to the entrance of the valley, only a narrow road leads into it. The valley itself is surrounded by mountain peaks up to 3,000 meters high. A river runs parallel to the only road, and above it there are many ledges or other hiding spots where defenders can take cover.
Even the Soviet troops that invaded Afghanistan at the end of 1979 were unable to gain a foothold in the region - and the Taliban also failed here during their first rule from 1996 to 2001. The valley and the approximately 150,000 people who live there stayed during the independent for a full five years.
A valley with high symbolic power and a national hero
During this time the high symbolic power arose that still accompanies the disintegration around the valley. The leader of the Northern Alliance, Ahmed Shah Massud, is still legendary today. He was the most important leader in the war against the Soviet Union and led the fighters in the war against the Taliban from 1996 onwards. He died in a suicide attack in 2001 and is now one of the national heroes of Afghanistan. It is therefore no coincidence that his son Ahmad Massud is leading the current resistance against the Taliban in the Punjir Valley.
Current developments are also being followed with great interest from other regions of the country. Even if it looks different from the outside, the Taliban are not the unrestricted rulers of Aghanistan. Many regional princes claim to be involved in government; Akhmad Massud also pushed for it.
Other regional rulers want to participate in government
A few days ago a group of other Afghan leaders spoke up. Its spokesman is Chalid Nur, the son of Atta Mohammad Nur, the once powerful governor of the northern Afghan province of Balkh. He told Reuters news agency it was important that traditional leaders in particular be involved in government formation. The 27-year-old also warned of the failure of negotiations with the Taliban. Then the group would prepare for armed resistance. Surrender is out of the question for them.
Observers fear that further developments could even mark the beginning of a civil war in Afghanistan. The Chairman of the General Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Milley has already warned against this. In an interview, Milley said he did not know whether the Taliban would be able to consolidate their power.
This message was broadcast on September 6th, 2021 on Deutschlandfunk.

PARTICIPATE !! PARTICIPATE !! PARTICIPATE !! PARTICIPATE !!
As a humanist and a democrat, this is my opinion:
For us, humanity must always come first before we talk about "Germans or Turks", "Christians or Muslims", "heterosexuals or homosexuals", climate protection, "black zero" and so on. In the German Basic Law (GG) it is already in Article 1 - as a heading, so to speak: "The dignity of HUMANS is inviolable." It doesn't say: ... the dignity of the German, ... Christians, ... heterosexuals, etc., but quite deliberately "only" HUMAN - just to clarify and turn away from the brown past. There is only the HUMAN GUIDING CULTURE, which feeds on the principles of humanistic ethics.
But the "German slowness to react" made itself felt through the decades until today. In many German minds, Hitler is still, or again, a myth and a joke about whom funny films are made, and whose descendants (AfD) give you and you slapsticks. The German - national ideas were unfortunately always present, but came out in the context of the recent refugee crisis.
Actually a signal and a warning sign to wake you up! The German state must not only be an instrument for prosperity and freeze in administrative routine, which in turn leads to political apathy in the population, as has been a fact since the economic miracle under Ludwig Erhard, but it must include what is to be included so that our society becomes more humane, more humane.
But that which torpedoes our freedom and democracy and wants to replace the PEOPLE with "the Germans" and "Christians" and "heterosexuals" ... should be excluded. The AfD must be excluded from our society!

RaSp: Some fear - seeing black - the participation of the "communists" in the next federal government, others warn with many red lights that the AfD is gaining strength. Others, on the other hand, see the Greens as a "conspiracy party", while there are also those who venerate Annalena Baerbock as her savior. And the novelty in post-war Germany that the future Chancellor Party could become this with only 22.5 percent of the vote.
And who is that owed? I think it is the CDU's decline in the polls. That in turn is due to their chancellor candidate Armin Laschet. If the "Christian" had chosen Markus Söder as candidate for chancellor in the spring, they would now have around 28 percent of the vote. Scholz, who owes his current 25 percent solely to the decline of the CDU and not to his great program, would have been 22 percent, and the AfD would have slipped below the ten percent mark. The reality is different. See report below.
So when, this week or even today, does the CDU throw its bait, Markus Söder, into the hotly contested voter pool to turn the tide? The term "bait", which otherwise has a rather negative connotation, is not necessarily meant here in an evil or derogatory way. Even though the CSU man would bind many - otherwise - AfD voters to himself, whether he wanted it or not. That alone would be "good". And the contrast to the "red socks" would be a bit more visible again, the election campaign more snappy, the TV series that are still to come more exciting. The real profile difference (instead of profiling) between $ PD and CDU would become more visible. And in order to be able to shine, Annalena Baerbock would have to come out of the reserve a lot more.
In general, it is very surprising that Angela Merkel and the CDU grandees are watching this tragedy (apparently motionless) - have to say, I have to say. Because I am sure that something will happen in the coming days.
t-online: --- Three weeks before the federal election, the SPD and Chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz expanded their lead over the Union in an Insa survey. The Social Democrats gain in the "Sunday trend" for "Bild am Sonntag" one percentage point compared to the previous week and are now at 25 percent. The CDU and CSU with their candidate for Chancellor Armin Laschet together come to 20 percent, one point less than a week ago - and, according to the newspaper, an all-time low.
In third place, the Greens of Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock lost one point and are now at 16 percent - followed by the FDP, which remains unchanged at 13 percent. According to the pollsters from the Insa Institute, the AfD with 12 percent and the Left with 7 percent can each gain one point. The other parties together come to 7 percent (minus 1).
Several surveys by other opinion research institutes had recently seen the SPD on the rise - and in some cases well ahead of the CDU / CSU. The ZDF "Politbarometer" published on Friday by the Elections Research Group also sees the Social Democrats at 25 percent, while the Union is at 22 percent.
Election polls are generally always fraught with uncertainty. Among other things, declining party ties and increasingly short-term voting decisions make it more difficult for opinion research institutes to weight the data collected. In principle, surveys only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not predictions of the outcome of the election.

Before the Taliban victory: Carefree telephone recording between Biden and Ghani surfaced
US President Joe Biden praised his ally's army in his last phone call with his Afghan colleague Ashraf Ghani before the Taliban came to power. "You clearly have the best military," Biden said in the 14-minute conversation on July 23rd. "They have 300,000 well-equipped soldiers against 70,000-80,000 and they are obviously able to fight well," said a transcript of the phone call made available to the Reuters news agency by an insider.
Ghani fled his presidential palace on August 15 before the advancing Taliban without his army showing any firm resistance. In the phone call, neither man is aware of the danger that the Islamists would actually take over the country within days. On the phone call, Biden repeatedly addressed the international perception of the situation in Afghanistan: “Needless to say, the world and parts of Afghanistan have the impression that the fight against the Taliban is not going well ", he said. "Whether that's true or not, a different picture has to be conveyed."
The British government is negotiating with the militant Islamic Taliban about the safe exit of British and Afghan local staff from Afghanistan. Prime Minister Boris Johnson's special envoy, Simon Gass, traveled to the Qatari capital Doha for talks with leading representatives of the Taliban, said a government spokesman in London on Wednesday night. It is about "underlining the importance of safe exit for British nationals and the Afghans who have worked with us over the past 20 years."
The Foreign Ministry is also temporarily strengthening its embassies in the neighboring Afghan countries of Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Specialists should support the diplomats in bringing people to safety across land borders. Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said on Tuesday that there were still a "low three-digit" number of British people in Afghanistan.
In view of the humanitarian emergency in Afghanistan, migration expert Gerald Knaus expects a large number of people who want to flee abroad - but not with massive immigrants entering Europe as in 2015. The most important border between Iran and Turkey is said to be today "sealed off with walls, drones and tens of thousands of soldiers," he told the Düsseldorf "Rheinische Post". "What there will definitely not be a major irregular migration like 2015 to the European Union."
Knaus is the head of the European Stability Initiative (ESI) think tank, which developed the plan for the readmission agreement with Turkey on Syrian refugees. Nevertheless, he expects "that in the near future there will be very many people in Afghanistan who will have to flee." This is the case out of fear of the militant Islamist Taliban, because of the humanitarian situation and the uncertainty about the duration of the conflict. The crucial question is whether it is possible to escape. This depends on the neighboring countries. "If Pakistan and Iran close their borders by force, as all of Syria's neighbors do today, not many people will be able to get out."
He explained: “The danger is not that too many people will come to Europe irregularly. The danger is still that many people, whom we want to offer protection, to whom we have promised entry to Germany, will not get out. "

Those who are informed cannot be fooled
If even the candidate for chancellor of Germany's ruling CDU party says publicly on television that the withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster for the federal government (including his own party), then there must be some truth in it. "Disaster" from Latin means nothing else than "bad star". However, whether Laschet did any good with this clear truth, which Olaf Scholz had avoided in another question, is highly doubtful. After all, he is bringing Angela Merkel and AKK publicly responsible for the "death in Kabul".
But nobody in Afghanistan talks about Germany today, on August 31, 2021 AD, the year "1 (one) after USA". The Bundeswehr, the British and all other NATO allies are lumped together with the US soldiers, which is true both figuratively and factually, "because we are nothing without the Americans." (Merkel and AKK). There in the Hindu Kush is celebrated properly. At least on the part of the Taliban. They shot into the air for hours, as is customary there at every celebration (wedding, birth of a child, winning a championship ...). They celebrate with rifles of the US military or with all the cruel military equipment of NATO: weapons, tanks, armored vehicles, ammunition in abundance.
Why there was not an organized withdrawal of NATO and the German forces and that of their helpers, women's rights activists and reporters and many others to be protected over several months, although this would have been possible based on information that was available for a long time, must urgently be investigated and be worked up. Even before the federal election, so that German voters know who they can still vote for. It is certainly not somewhere in the stars what happened or did not happen here, but specifically in the files with notes in the departments of the German government, which a best German "Washington Post" has yet to find and publish. Yes, it probably needs another "Watergate" and a courageous "publisher" to clarify what really happened here. But do they still exist? Those who bring those responsible from politicians heaven, from where they don't belong, in order to hold them accountable for the disaster?
Others have absolutely no reason to celebrate, to come back to "day zero". The Taliban's vengeance is already being felt in the countryside, outside the big cities, and those who have been abandoned fear the worst for Kabul, Herat and other cities. Meanwhile, Heiko Maas ruffles around the bush, distributing money to those who live around the burnt and already burnt soup so that they can take in those who are still to be saved. It should have been different, it could have been different. Because the people left behind in Afghanistan must first get to the border with neighboring countries ...

SW ° / RaSp - What is happening in and around Kabul will have worldwide effects. Unfortunately not of the good kind. This also includes re-strengthening the supporters of the Islamic State. Followers ?? Yes, there are many Muslim women (see the post below) who ardently want the IS to return. Not necessarily in Kabul, but in Syria - and who knows? maybe also in the Afghan provinces.
The great vacuum left by the hasty and yet planned withdrawal of the USA and NATO is not being filled "adequately" (as if a football coach would replace a player "one on one" in the same or the same position), but rather uncontrollably , confusing, undesirable, incalculable and disproportionate.
Meanwhile, the German Foreign Minister plays the active caretaker and hurries from country to country around the Hindu Kush. He just doesn't want to go to Afghanistan itself. He doesn't even see that. He lets his diplomat do that. As always. But today is not "always" - but today it is worse, and a minister has to be there !!
Tagesschau / Tagesschau He fears a large wave of refugees should it come to that. But he wants to stay. He puts his fate in the hands of God, as he says and hopes that his fight against the jihadists will not be in vain in the end. Countless sleeper cells of the IS terrorist militia have settled in eastern Syria and are spreading fear and terror. The Taliban's victory in Afghanistan gives them a boost. Many fear a return of the "Islamic State". "We are watching you". "We know everything about you". "We will behead you, cut you up". These are the messages that Hamoud al Nofal receives on his cell phone almost every day. He learned to live with it, tried to stay calm. Giving in is out of the question for the head of an influential Arab tribe in eastern Syria: "You are demanding that I give up everything I am currently doing and join them. Otherwise, they will kill me in whatever way," he said The 55-year-old. His tribe first fought against Syria's ruler Bashar al-Assad, then against the terrorist militia IS. They hate dictatorships and extremism. 450 members had to lose their lives for this. Hamoud miraculously survived five attacks. Car bombs exploded in front of his house. His truck blew up. He was targeted and shot at from a car, and pressure from the Dischahdists is increasing in the region. A comeback of the "Islamic State" (IS) seems possible again. For him and his tribe, it is now a question of existence: "If ISIS should take over power here again, the number of victims of our tribe would increase very quickly from 450 to 900. ISIS would wipe us out." Sheikh hardly any more. Shaail is considered an IS stronghold in eastern Syria. One of many in the Deir ez-Zor province. Despite the oil reserves, many people live in poverty, are poorly educated and are often strictly religious. In 2019, Kurdish fighters ended Islamist rule in the region with U.S. air support, when US President Donald Trump announced victory over the terrorist militia. That was premature. The self-proclaimed warriors of God renewed themselves, went underground, from there they spread fear and terror, murder anyone who opposes them and can hope for many sympathizers. Kurdish special units of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF), however, want IS don't give way, show presence in the streets, go on patrols, set up checkpoints. Especially at night, IS fighters come out of their hiding places, extort protection money, take hostages and murder. The SDF forces themselves are repeatedly the target of their attacks. "They fill motorbikes with explosives and detonate them," says commander Mohamed. "They use booby traps against us. Sometimes they attack us as a group, shoot us and then disappear again." This has happened many times, and the number of IS attacks is actually increasing dramatically. In July there were 18 in the province of Deir ez-Zor alone. The Taliban's victory is also boosting the jihadists here, believes SDF commander Abu Wael. He sees Kurdish autonomy in danger. You are in a crucial phase, you have to prepare well for everything. Without the backing of the US, they would be unable to counter the terrorists in the long term, he fears: "The number of IS cells in our area has literally exploded. We are doing what we can to oppose this development. But our options are slim We need a lot more support. ”In the Al-Hol-Camp, however, the hope of a return of IS is growing. Tens of thousands of women and children are incarcerated in the camp in eastern Syria. They once lived under IS rule.

Merz or Röttgen! But Laschet? To us, the "election" for the "Christian" federal chairman in January 2021 not only seemed Spanish, but above all dishonest and shameless. In his speech, Armin Laschet placed the focus on the word "trust". Trust that a miner, like his father once was, must have in order to know that he will come back safely from the mine. Laschet even held his father's brand name in the cameras back then. Such vivid speeches are always well received.
But what happened next, and what we called "spanking piglet" at the time, had nothing to do with fairness or trust. "Trust me!" Laschet said to the 1,001 delegates. That would have been enough. Almost six months later, the vote of confidence in Armin Lachet (who in the meantime had also become a candidate for chancellor as chairman) was put to a tough test in North Rhine-Westphalia, and many flood victims are still of the opinion that Armin Laschet is not one can trust. And even in the CDU election campaign, things seem to be going wrong with Armin Laschet. In the graphic below you can see the survey values from January 2021 and from this week.

Election of the chairman: a dirty game of the German democratic Christians
RaSp / SW / CPH
While the very last minute of stoppage time is ticking down, Bayern player Joshua Kimmich is on the ground and won't get up anytime soon. In these last seconds of the DFB Cup game in Kiel, it is 2: 1 for the guests from the south. And EVERYONE - right down to the die-hard sturgeon fans and the "prophets" who had predicted a defeat in Bavaria - knew: THAT'S IT! Munich were one round further - with the typical "Bayerndusel", because their 1-0 was a clear and not as such denied offside goal.
But the referee had not yet whistled the game, which means that officially the game was still on. Even then, when Kimmich was finally able to walk again. Stoppage time of stoppage time. So the Kiel could start another - probably last - attack on the five-time world goalkeeper Kasten. Over the left to the middle of the penalty area - wonderful cross inwards over everyone - the ball hits the head of a stork and lands past Neuer in the top right of the net. Renewal! Insanity!
"Armin Laschet and Team" shot three offside goals yesterday at the digital party conference of the German and democratic Christians,
1. Offside goal: When a certain Jens Spahn took out his drum for 60 seconds in the question and answer session of stoppage time and advertised Armin Laschet in an outrageous way (= without feeling of shame). Everyone was shocked - at the PC screens, TV screens, in the control room and those present in the hall. The line referee AKK did not raise a flag - she was still CDU chairwoman - (although Spahn had crossed a line audibly for everyone), no final whistle from referee Paul Ziemiak. Irregular goal, definitely. But it was given by everyone. THAT'S IT.
But the final whistle has not yet taken place, which means that the election of the Christian chairmen, whose new chairman and "father of the nation" in his application speech - retrospectively - cheekily spoke of TRUST and at this point already knew about Spahn's action - has not yet officially been concluded . "Kimmich" got up and the game is still running ...
Because the delegates still have to confirm their digital cross in writing by postal vote. And since both elections are / were secret, there may well be a surprise. Because nobody can check whether the respective digital and then the written cross were made in the same place.
2. Offside goal: When it came to the vote on whether the speaking time should be limited to one minute within the aforementioned "question and answer session", Ziemiak said: "I'm in favor of it," and pressed his button. That was neither "secret" nor fair. It was manipulative.
3. Offside goal: And why is it actually "limited" to 60 seconds ?, we asked ourselves in the editorial team during the live broadcast. A simple question takes a maximum of 20 to 30 seconds (see video evidence) unless you want to give a speech. It can therefore be assumed that Laschet's "trust game" was an agreed-upon piglet (not to have to say "mess") game in which everyone, except for Friedrich Merz, who was prevented, was involved in this unclean game. And in the middle of it all, our pandemic minister, who has demoted himself to a SPAHNERKEL. By the way: after Spahn there were no more requests to speak or questions ...

SW ° / RaSp - We are not prophets, at least not those who can predict the future. The prophets in the Bible (Old Testament) were not primarily interpreters of the future, but were always critics of the depraved condition of their society at that time. And yet it is not difficult to predict what will happen in Afghanistan in the future: the war, the US and NATO occupation, will return.
It's terrifying. When I hear the following words, I see George W. Bush in front of the camera on September 11, 2001, or Donald Trump: "We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay for it." But these two short sentences come from the mouth of Joe Biden. That US President, whom many wanted to hand over the Nobel Peace Prize when he was inaugurated.
This threat - already implemented in the first step (see below) - means nothing other than that US planes will return and at some point new US troops will be relocated to the Hindu Kush to protect their own soldiers, not the others who were killed revenge. John Wayne also sends his regards. Joe Biden will expect that the NATO allies with "tears in their eyes" (AKK or its successor) will do the same. And so the whole scenario will heat up. Because it can be assumed that not only IS and its offshoots, but also the Taliban, will carry out terrorism.
So why not stay there in the Hindu Kush! Why this hasty departure? !!
*) - The US military reacted with a retaliatory attack on the bloody terrorist attack in Kabul and attacked a local branch of the terrorist militia "Islamic State" (IS). As the US central command Centcom announced on Friday evening (local time), the unmanned air strike in the Afghan province of Nangahar was aimed at "a planner" by ISIS-K. "According to the first signs, we killed the target," said spokesman Bill Urban. The Centcom representative said, referring to the airstrike: "We do not know of any civilian casualties." The Central Command did not provide any further details. It was not yet clear whether the person attacked was directly involved in the bloody attack at the Afghan capital's airport.
Previously, US President Joe Biden had sworn revenge after the terrorist attack in Kabul, in which dozens of people, including 13 US soldiers, were killed on Thursday.
"We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay for it."
On Friday, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki reiterated the president's resolve in a press briefing.
At the same time, the US feared another terrorist attack in Kabul. The US embassy issued another security warning on Saturday night. All US citizens have been asked to leave the area around the entrance gates to the airport immediately. Hours before the terrorist attack on Thursday, the US embassy issued a similar warning.
According to the White House, the US and its allies have flown around 110,000 people from Afghanistan since the evacuation mission began in Kabul in mid-August. Most recently, 4,200 people were evacuated within twelve hours on Friday. As of Friday afternoon (local time), the US government assumed that around 500 Americans willing to leave were still in Afghanistan.
The Taliban have been controlling Kabul and thus the area around the airport since mid-August. At the gates and inside the site, however, US soldiers and their allies are in charge. However, these should be withdrawn by August 31 at the latest.

SW ° / RaSp: Somehow it doesn't go together. When over a million Syrian, Iraqi, Afghan and refugees from other countries came to Germany from 2015 to 2017, the German federal government under the leadership of Angela Merkel showed a real Christian and humane attitude. The integration of the predominantly Muslim men, women and children worked and despite the fear and alarmism of the AfD, the Basic Law and not the Sharia still apply in the FRG.
The Sharia, however, will apply in Afghanistan with immediate effect because twenty years of lying, abruptly head over neck and due to sloppiness on the part of those responsible, came to an end.
Most of us know or at least suspect what Sharia means for girls and women and children in particular. But did you also know that "sharia" translated from Arabic means "way to the water source" or "clearly paved way". In the Arab and Muslim countries in particular, water plays an even bigger role than it already does. In the Koran there is only one (1) passage in which "sharia" occurs. That is sura 45. There it says:
“We gave the children of Israel (at that time) scripture, judgment and prophecy, brought them (all sorts of) good things, honored them in front of people all over the world ... Then we committed you to your (own) rite in the matter [ ṯumma ǧaʿalnāka ʿalā šarīʿatin]. Now follow him and not the (personal) inclinations of those who do not know! ”- Sura 45, verses 16 and 18
But what is the "way?" The "clearly paved way to the water source?" For Muslims, what is the correct behavior of people towards God, towards one another and towards creation? The rules of the "Sharia" have three sources: The Koran, the Sunna, which consists of a collection of sayings and behaviors of the Prophet Muhammad, and what has been made of them over the centuries. So the jurisprudence, interpretations of high clergy, judgments that were spoken. Comparable to a commentary on the German penal code.
However, the Sharia is not a "comment" in a democratic legal system, but a code of conduct in a theocracy - a state of God. In addition, there are different interpretations of Sharia law. And that of the Taliban, which it had used so far, is bloody: a Taliban judge explains in a video that depending on the severity of the crime, sometimes only the finger and sometimes the whole arm is chopped off. Homosexuals are stoned and women are brutally restricted in their freedom of movement. If they violate it, they too face death by throwing stones.
As already mentioned in another article, Angela Merkel said at a press conference in 2015 in view of the refugees pouring into us: WE CAN DO IT! Now in the penultimate week of August 2021, she said in the Bundestag: "Afterwards, to make precise analyzes and assessments afterwards, that is not really complicated. Afterwards, to know everything exactly afterwards and to foresee it exactly, that is relatively effortless."
In summary, she said: Afterwards you will always be smarter.
That's correct. But it's true for each of us. For you, me, Mrs Bertele from next door, for all 82,000,300 German citizens. But politicians have therefore been elected to their office and are also happy to be "crossed" into this office, so that they are smarter BEFORE than the people in order to protect them from evil. Especially when they have been informed about the threats beforehand, as was the case in Afghanistan. Especially when you and you had already recognized in 2008 and 2009 that this war can never be won. There are and have been enough hints for this !!

SW ° / RaSp - Do the dear readers remember March 2020? That was only 17 months ago. At that time there was a German airlift, or more precisely, several airlifts in various countries around the world, in which 240,000 German citizens were brought back home from abroad - mainly holiday countries.
The reason: Corona had broken out. Numerous Germans had no opportunity to return on their own due to the complete border closings of other countries, since regular flights were no longer allowed due to the border closings.
Foreign Minister Heiko Maas spoke in March 2020 of an “airlift” for which the federal government plans to spend up to 50 million euros. At a time when 100,000 Germans were still abroad, people were already talking about the "largest repatriation campaign in the Federal Republic of Germany. Lufthansa and Condor were involved.
At that time, the Münchner Merkur wrote: "It is an incredibly big action, but it is also necessary," Maas (SPD) told the "Bild." target." The term airlift is primarily associated with the Berlin Airlift of 1948/49. At that time, the Western Allies supplied the western part of Berlin, which was cut off by a Soviet blockade, from the air for almost eleven months. " Maas spoke of a “one-time program” and made it clear that it will be much more difficult to return to Germany at a later date.
70 weeks later, for many Germans and for those who were an incredible help to the Germans (but of course also for millions of others), the worst catastrophe since the end of the Second World War occurs. The Corona Airlift lasted several weeks, the Kabul Airlift only a few days. With the first there was no acute or immediate danger to human life; however, this is the case with the second.
It is unbelievable that there are no European politicians with real "eggs" and that the airlift is maintained until the last one is saved. Not Heiko M00s (Maas) and not A00 (AKK) either. And we must not forget that it is they who are responsible for this debacle and not only do not live up to their responsibility, but also rule out a resignation because he would be irresponsible in this dicey situation. What nonsense !!
rtl.de - The Bundeswehr ended its airlift from Kabul on Thursday. According to information from the German Press Agency, the last three planes started in the early evening (local time) from Kabul airport with the destination Tashkent in Uzbekistan. Shortly before, there had been reports of an explosion outside the airport in Kabul.
Germany ends its evacuation mission four days before the US troops withdraw. Four Airbus A400M with evacuees and German soldiers were flown from Kabul to Tashkent in Uzbekistan.
The Bundeswehr flew 150 more people out of Kabul in Afghanistan on Thursday morning. The operational command reported on Thursday on Twitter that a military transport of the type A400M with the refugees on board started at 9:42 a.m. German time for Tashkent.
Among the soldiers are paratroopers and KSK soldiers, as well as two special forces helicopters. In Tashkent, according to the latest plans, they will be received by Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the General Inspector of the Bundeswehr, Eberhard Zorn, and the Federal Armed Forces Commissioner, Eva Högl. Together with the soldiers, it should then go to Germany on Friday. The planes are to fly to the Bundeswehr air base in Wunstorf in Lower Saxony.
The German embassy in Afghanistan and other agencies are currently warning of the threat of terrorism around the airport. The US Embassy has asked US citizens who are currently at Abbey Gate, East Gate or North Gate to leave the area "immediately".
Britain's Secretary of Defense, James Heappey, spoke on Sky News of the threat of a "serious, immediate, fatal attack" within hours on the airport or the centers used by Western troops.
Several countries have already completed their evacuations. France wants to end its operation, according to Prime Minister Jean Castex on Friday. In Belgium, too, the end of the evacuations was justified by the deteriorating security situation at the airport in Kabul. Prime Minister Alexander De Croo spoke of specific US indications of possible suicide bombings.

Since the beginning of the international military operation in Afghanistan (also under the aegis of Schröder (SPD) / Fischer (Greens) at the beginning of the 2000s, the federal government (s) of Germany have exported war weapons and other armaments for more than 400 million euros Afghanistan agreed. This emerges from arms export reports by the government and a list by the Federal Ministry of Economics. However, most of the war equipment was delivered to the armed forces of the NATO allies, to embassies or the UN. Only a small part went to the Afghan security forces.
If the US and NATO allies have done this as well, it is not surprising that the "painstakingly built Afghan army" left alone, could not withstand the Taliban, and after only a few hours "put down their arms". But the mere fact that the Germans handled it that way is a scandal for which the previous and still-in-office government in Berlin is responsible. Especially the business, foreign and defense departments. The German - especially the peace-loving - citizen asks himself whether his government and that of the USA and NATO even wanted an interest in the independence and independence of the Afghans, or whether the strategy was more towards the "indispensability of NATO allies", which made them do so. Politics alone and then still in union with a war is / are a dirty business.
We find the effects of this "sloppiness" in the current "status quo" on site in the Hindu Kush. For example, this morning in Kabul in the crowd around the airport, according to the British government, seven people were killed. The following comment literally screams to heaven, everyone wondering if "heaven" even hears it. "Our thoughts are with the families of seven Afghan civilians who tragically died in the crowd in Kabul," says the (British?) Ministry of Defense. A correspondent for the British broadcaster "Sky News" had previously reported on chaotic scenes outside the gates of the airport, in which people were "squeezed" on Saturday.
Another impact of this militant and dishuman strategy of Germany and NATO will be the impending famine in Afghanistan. The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) warns of a "humanitarian catastrophe" in Afghanistan. The WFP estimates that of the approximately 38 million people in Afghanistan today, 14 million citizens / children do not have enough to eat and drink. That is more than a third of the total population. Afghanistan is also plagued by a severe drought. WFP Afghanistan Director Mary-Ellen McGroarty appealed to the world of nations: "We have to bring support into the country - not just food, but also medical support and protection." You need money, and now.
And then there was the bad news from Turkey which made it clear that there was no room for more refugees on the Bosporus. Greece has sealed its external border (its own and that of the EU). Job does not only appear in the Bible, but also in the Koran (Job, Arabic أيوب) and in Austria! Because Chancellor Sebastian Kurz is also against the admission of refugees from Afghanistan in his country this morning. This will not happen during his tenure, he tells the TV broadcaster Puls 24.
Another threatening message is that according to CNN reports, citing unnamed US defense sources, there is talk of the threat of an attack by the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) on Kabul airport and its surroundings. The Taliban and the regionally active branch of ISIS are deeply enemies and have fought against each other in the past.
The German AfD is calling for the right to asylum to be suspended and Heiko Maas and AKK do not consider it necessary to fly to Kabul themselves and to stand by their "confessions of failure" in a tactile and pragmatic manner and to seek reparations.
"There is no god in Stalingrad, maybe at home in Germany, in the warm rooms, maybe in your hymn books. But not in Stalingrad. There is no god here." In the winter of 1942, shortly before Christmas, a young German soldier wrote this to his father in the Ruhr area, who was a pastor. The son never came back from Stalingrad. - And seriously, where is God, where is Allah, if not (especially the supposedly Christian) fellow human being from the West represents HIM through his humanity. The above lines of letters could also have been written in Kabul today, even if formulated a little differently.

"There has been people smuggling since the first borders were drawn. As long as there are borders, this business will continue," says Baver - a 32-year-old smuggler who works on the Turkish-Iranian border.
Baver's position in the organization is very important according to his own statements: it is his responsibility to bring the refugees to the "safe zone", the eastern Anatolian city of Van. "I've already brought thousands across the border," he says, not entirely without pride. He doesn't want to tell us exactly where he is smuggling refugees across the Iranian-Turkish border. Uncovering his routes could lead to the collapse of the entire smuggling organization, he warns. This includes a wide network of smugglers operating in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and even Europe.
Baver's sentences sound nervous and hasty: "I have to be careful not to have the police on my cheek." In Turkish cities on the Iranian border, the police are increasingly focusing on the illegal smuggling of migrants. Even before the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, the police carried out more operations there. Numerous legal proceedings have been initiated and legal proceedings have been opened against 920 traffickers since the beginning of the year. "I don't want to join that," said Baver.
The people smuggler calls the migrants he smuggles his "guests". A codified jargon is supposed to make it more difficult for the police to trace the communication between the smugglers. In addition, they would make sure to use communication services such as WhatsApp or Telegram. Programs that are difficult for the police to monitor.
Afghanistan is a country that has been the starting point for refugee movements for many years and is therefore a place where people smuggling flourishes. The transfer fee for a migrant who wants to go to Istanbul from Afghanistan is $ 1500. Prices have risen as a result of the Taliban's victory - mainly because the Turkish border is now better secured.

Afghan refugees have to go through several stations on their odyssey
The Afghan refugees who depend on Baver's help in the Turkish border area have already come a long way. Baver explains that the smuggling organizations consist of thousands of people who work together across national borders: In every country - in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Turkey - there are so-called guarantors. These intermediaries receive the entire amount that a refugee has to pay and transfer their share to the respective smugglers via "hawala" after each stage has been completed. Hawala, a worldwide informal money transfer system, is used for transfers outside of traditional banking channels.
First stage: as soon as 30 or 40 people have gathered, they are brought from Kabul to the border with the Pakistani province of Balochistan. The route across the Afghan-Iranian border is avoided because this route is very dangerous.
Baloch smugglers take over at the border. After arriving in Pakistan, the next step begins: the long and arduous journey to the Iranian border. It is a long distance, for which three or four different tugs are usually responsible. Then the refugees are left behind at a "zero point", an agreed location on the Iranian border.

Ankara is expanding the border wall: entering Turkey has never been more difficult
After the refugees have crossed the Iranian border, a vehicle collects them at various meeting points in the Iranian-Pakistani border area and takes them to Tehran in a ten-hour drive. They are then temporarily transported by bus to the western Iranian cities of Maku and Khoy - both cities in turn have their own smugglers. From there they are driven to Iranian border villages - the smugglers are known for their excellent relationships with the Iranian border police.
"We help people who are in mortal danger"
The last step: in groups of 40 or 50 people, the Afghans are finally guided into Turkish territory via one of the five secret refugee routes. The hikes begin at nightfall - the group usually has arrived by sunrise. You arrive in the Turkish towns of Doğubayazıt, Çaldıran, Özalp and Saray.
Baver cannot understand why his profession is criminalized. It is convinced that he does no harm. He thinks that smugglers - on the contrary - help people who are in mortal danger.
